My Journey

I can do all things through Christ which strengthenest me.

By Cecil Whitaker
I began this journal, this journey, just a few months ago. While I have been a Christian for most of my life, I am no Biblical scholar. But recently, I have been reading more. I, like many people, have had many distractions in life that have seemed to always get in the way, to have a higher priority. But recent events in my life have given me pause, a little more time to reflect, on life and my faith, drawing me closer to God. I remembered a time when I heard a voice telling me the answers to my questions were in the Bible, all I had to do was read it. To begin this journey, I wanted a simple tool to capture my notes and to organize them into various subjects or categories. That simple tool would go beyond the original concept of a simple journal, taking on a life of its own. It should be obvious that the more I read, the more I take away from each reading. The more time I spent in the word, the more energized I became and I wanted to capture some of this energy, to capture my thoughts around each story and some of the recurring themes that kept flashing at me. So, I created a simple tool to organize my notes and thoughts.
